Paul Gilbert BEHOLD ELECTRIC Tour
Dec. 16th // MON // 380/780(VIP) RMB // Instrument
HIGHLIGHT: Paul Brandon Gilbert, co-founder of Mr. Big and star guitarist of Racer X, is coming to Shanghai as part of his Behold Electric Guitar Asia Tour! Voted the fourth greatest shredder of all time by GuitarOne magazine and up there with Eddie Van Halen, Randy Rhoads and Yngwie Malmsteen, the man’s a towering guitar virtuoso. He came to prominence in the 80’s heavy metal band Racer X before co-founding Mr. Big with Eric Martin. He was a darling of the music media for his stylistic versatility and fretwork so complex he has to pause and really think about it when trying to teach it to his students, including Buckethead, Joey Tafolla and Satchel from Steel Panther. Though he started out in metal, he has since shifted to a more melodic and blues-inspired style. But I’m sure if you yell it loud enough from the pit, he’ll do the solo from “To Be With You.” VIP Tickets include a picture op and an autograph!
